In Felletin, a town in the south of the Creuse region, a couple in their forties received 190,000 euros from the Mission Patrimoine to carry out work on their town house.

190,000 euros, and a big boost for Alix and Baudouin De Feydeau, owners of the 18th-century mansion in Felletin (Creuse), selected by Mission Patrimoine.

Originally from Felletin, the couple acquired this private mansion twelve years ago and have been restoring it ever since: "We devote a lot of our free time to it, but very quickly, the building site overwhelmed us," confides Baudouin. Then, a few months ago, there was a pleasant surprise: "It was my father who had heard about the heritage lottery, and he told me that it was an opportunity to be seized, that we should try our luck... We did it without really believing it, but it came true !" smiles his wife Alix.

The two forty-somethings have already carried out major work, notably on an outbuilding, a former 19th-century stable, which was in danger of collapsing.
