In 2024, as every year, the ANF is organizing a competition to reward the most studious students.

In 2023, first prize was awarded to Archibald de Cosnac, an Essec graduate who studied at University College London and the Lycée International de Saint-Germain en Laye. In 2019, Mademoiselle Marie-Camille de Polignac won the prize. This brilliant jurist studied at Nanterre University.

A forward-looking association

The ANF was founded in 1932 to help French artistocrats in need. And despite the fact that France no longer has a king since the abdication of Louis-Philippe in 1848, the association continues to look to the future. Since 2017, the Prix d'Excellence has offered an annual prize of 10,000 euros to a student (or several who share the sum) with a particularly brilliant career path. The association receives selected candidates for an interview at its headquarters on rue du chevalier de Saint-George in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. " The aim is to promote and encourage excellence in higher education among young French nobility", says jury chairman Godefroy Le Mintier.

To take part, you must be a student or become one in the following year, in a course of study in France or abroad, and between 18 and 30 years of age. Last but not least, you have to be noble! Even though France is a republic, the association is uncompromising on this point. Candidates must have a name listed in the family table. Applications must be received by April 24, 2024. Auditions, lasting around 15 minutes, will take place between mid-May and the end of May, and the prize will be awarded at the ANF General Meeting on June 11, 2024.
